Catalonia ICGC Topographic Map

Catalonia on a large, very detailed road map from the Catalan survey organization, with excellent presentation of the region’s topography, plus an enlargement at 1:125,000 for the environs of Barcelona. Contours at 100m intervals and relief shading are supplemented by names of mountain ranges, peaks and passes, national parks and protected areas, plus colouring to indicate different types of vegetation.

Road network is finely graded in different colours, but shows no driving distances. Cartography of the current edition has been refined and overall background colouring lightened so that minor roads in the mountainous parts of the region are now clearly visible. UTM grid is at intervals of 25km, with margin ticks at 5km.

The legend is presented as an extract of from the map with 70 different features: roads and railway lines, administrative boundaries, topographic information, etc, numbered and then listed with explanations in Catalan only. The map has no index.

An enlargement shows the environs of Barcelona in greater detail. All topographic and road information extends to France and Andorra, to present a good overview of the eastern part of the Pyrenees. Also included is a small map showing the administrative division of Catalonia.
