The High Tatras in Poland and Slovakia in a series of detailed hiking maps covering the highlands of southern Poland, including the Tatra and Beskidy mountains, from Sygnatura/Carto-Media group. The maps highlight numerous walking trails, showing approx. hiking times and the degree of difficulty.
Topography is shown by contours (at 20 m intervals on most maps), hill shading, graphic relief, and spot heights. The maps also indicate different types of vegetation and land use. Signposted walking routes are highlighted in different colours, showing approximate hiking times in both directions, the degree of difficulty, and possible danger points. Cross country and alpine skiing routes and mountain bike routes are also marked.
A wide range of symbols indicate different types of accommodation, including campsites, youth hostels and mountain huts, various sport and recreational facilities, places of interest , etc. Road network shows petrol stations and bus stops. The maps also show railways with stations and all types of mountain transport: cable cars, chair list, ski lifts, etc.
All the maps have latitude and longitude lines, usually at 1’ intervals, and multilingual map legend which includes English. Many of the maps include town plans and additional information, mostly in Polish only, on the local geography, facilities and attractions.
