Jack the Ripper Walk

Step back in time and imagine yourself in the London of Jack the Ripper, with its gas-lit alleys and foggy lanes. The Jack the Ripper Walk will guide you through the centuries-old streets of Whitechapel to six of the original murder sites where the mutilated bodies of the Ripper’s victims were discovered. You will hear numerous tales about Jack the Ripper and be able to visit the actual taverns that he allegedly frequented. Also included on the Walk are two of East London’s most famous street markets and the actual buildings where Joseph Merrick (better known as the Elephant Man) lived, was put on display in a Victorian freak show, and where his remains are still kept today.
