Lyon and its Environs IGN 88403

Lyon and its Environs at 1:80,000 in a series of detailed road maps from the IGN with a large street plan of Lyon’s city centre. Coverage extends north beyond Villefranche-sur-Saône, south-west to St-Etienne, and east to La Tour-du-Pin. Cartography is an enlargement of IGN’s bestselling TOP100 series of road maps, enlarged here from 1:100,000 to 1:80,000 and presented without the contour lines but with relief shading and colouring to indicate the topography and woodlands, orchards, etc. The map provides a very detailed presentation of the road network, including classification of local roads according to lanes, rest areas, access restrictions, etc. Railway lines are shown with stations; cycle tracks and long-distance GR routes are marked. A wide range of symbols indicate various places of interest and recreational facilities, historical and cultural sites, golf courses, rock climbing, nature reserves, etc. Refuges and gîtes d’etape are marked, but not campsites. The map has no geographical coordinates for GPS. The index lists local communes. Map legend includes English. The street plan of central Lyon indicates main traffic arteries and one way streets. Metro stations are clearly marked. Selected streets are annotated with house numbers for easier identification of addresses.
