Marco Polo maps feature completely up-to-date, digitally generated mapping. A fold-out overview map is ideal for route planning and 7 self-adhesive Marco Polo mark-it stickers can be used to pin-point a destination or route for future reference.
Nepal at 1:750,000 on an indexed map from MairDumont with a set of removable stickers to highlight chosen locations. A fold-out flap in the jacket makes route planning easier by providing an overview of the whole area covered by the map plus the adjoining regions and highlighting popular locations, with its grid reference system in the margins making it easier to find places on the main map. A set of seven peel-on/peel-off stickers, removable from the map without damaging its surface, is provided for making selected locations more prominent when navigating.
Topography is shown by bold relief shading with spot heights and mountain passes. Many peaks are named and those best known highlighted, as are Nepal’s national parks and other protected areas.
The map shows the country’s road network, with scenic routes and distances, plus selected trails and main trekking routes. Local airport are marked. Principal places of interest are prominently highlighted, with many other temples and monuments also indicated. The map has latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 1°. Map legend includes English.
Two insets show an enlargement of the Kathmandu Valley and a street plan of the capital. A separate booklet attached to the map cover has an extensive index with all names annotated to indicate villages, mountains, glaciers, lakes, etc. A distance table also provided.
