Tatra Mountains, both the Polish and the Slovak side of the border, at 1:50,000 on a contoured and GPS compatible map from CartoMedia, with the overprint for waymarked trails also indicating hiking times in both directions, details of mountain huts, etc. On the Polish side the main map extends north of Zakopane to Bialy Dunajec, with an inset at 100K on the reverse continuing coverage further north to Nowy Targ. On the Slovak side the map covers both the High and the West Tatras, extending south to the boundary of the National Park.

Topography is shown by contours at 20m intervals, enhanced by relief shading and vivid graphic relief for exposed rocky areas. Additional colouring and/or graphics indicate various types of vegetation. Waymarked hiking trails show approximate walking times in both directions and possible danger points. The map also shows cross-country and alpine ski routes and mountain bike trails. Symbols mark various types of tourist accommodation including mountain huts and campsites, mountain rescue and medical facilities, places of interest, etc. Road network indicates scenic routes, bus stops, petrol stations and border crossings for motorized traffic. The map has latitude and longitude lines at 1’ intervals. Map legend includes English.

The reverse side, in addition of the panel extending coverage further north, provides details of local mountain huts, a street plan of Nowy Targ, plus a directory of useful tourist information.
