Tuscany Holiday Map at 1:200,000 from Marco Polo Travel Publishing, waterproof, tear-resistant and in a handy pocket format, with highlighting for places of interest and scenic routes, street plans of central Florence, Pisa and Siena, a distance table and traffic regulations, etc.

Coverage extends north to Massa and Carrara and inland to include Arezzo and most of Lago Trasimeno. Elba is included an on inset and the southern part of the region is shown as a separate panel on the reverse side. The mapping is the same as in the publishers’ larger format map of Tuscany: cartography stresses main roads and motorways in strong colours and selected towns in large letters, but also shows minor roads and villages. Railway network is shown with stations.

Topography is presented by relief shading with plenty of names of geographical features such as mountain ranges; national parks and other protected areas are highlighted. Picturesque towns and villages and places of interest are also highlighted and given star rating. Latitude and longitude grid is drawn at intervals of 10''.

In addition to the index, the reverse side provides more tourist information: street plans of central Florence, Pisa and Siena; brief descriptions of the region’s highlights in culture, nature and activities; a distance table and main traffic regulations; useful addresses including car hire; climate charts, etc.
