World K+F Physical 30M Map

Physical Map of the World from Kümmerly+Frey, folded format – medium size at 1:30,000,000. Land masses are shown in light shades of greens and yellows and with subtle relief shading, oceans are in pale blue.

This is an English edition of a map from the Swiss publishers Kümmerly+Frey, renown for their high quality world maps, with English names used throughout.

The map provides names of a large number of geographical features: mountain ranges, plateaux, deserts, etc., as well as peak names or spot heights in metres. Political boundaries (and in selected larger countries internal administrative divisions into states or provinces) are marked, but shown less prominently than on other physical world maps

On oceans selected shipping lanes are marked. Central Pacific, from Alaska/Siberia to New Zealand, is repeated on both sides of the map for better presentation of that region. Projection is van der Grinten.
