Throughout Stanfords’ history, we’ve seen many famous autographs scrawled for us. Did you know our archives contain cherished signed letters from Florence Nightingale, Captain Scott, Ernest Shackleton and Winston Churchill?

As an independent London bookshop we are very proud of the relationships we have built with authors over the years. We host regular author talks, book launches and often have authors drop by to sign their books.

Signed copies of books make excellent gifts and can often be collectable first editions.
