During hand lamination, 12 segments are glued to the high-quality ball in a so-called cigar shape. The waterproof special paper is used with durability and environmental friendliness in mind. A high-quality, low-odor paint that is even suitable for children's toys protects the ball from bumps and scratches and ensures that the globe can be enjoyed for a long time.



The hand-laminated DUO ball is held by a break-proof glass fiber reinforced meridian, the base plate is made of beech wood, which comes from German forests and is sustainably grown. Here, design and sustainability are convincing across the globe “made in Germany”.



The textile cable used is attractive in design and feel and gives a secure feeling thanks to the additional fabric coating.



The lighting is provided by a modern LED filament lamp, which is characterised by its extremely long burning time.



Since its introduction over 70 years ago, the DUO has been the symbol of the two-in-one principle: unlit, the map image clearly shows the individual countries. As soon as the LED lighting is switched on, the elaborate printing makes the physical image additionally visible - with more detail Topography and three-dimensional elevations.



Elaborately printed using a 120 fine grid process, even the smallest fonts are crystal clear and sharp, right down to details such as railway and shipping routes, even cold and warm ocean currents. The result: excellent readability and colour fidelity.
