The Foix in Berga, this route was used from the 11th century by the Cathars in exile, fleeing prison and death. Through the mountains, the passes, going from friendly house and precarious shelter, they reached the Catalan lands, towards Cerdanya or Berguedà. And following this path, you will take between 8 and 10 days from Foix to reach Berga.

From the Pyrenean foothills, the path passes in front of Roquefixade and Montségur clinging to their rocky peaks. It then gains the border, which you will cross at the Col de Puymorens (1920m) before gently descending towards Spain. And altitude, in the national reserve of Orlu, the man is becoming rare and it is the wolf which took its place. Very discreet, you will have less chance of seeing it than the Isard.
